BOISE The nation’s longest running cold weather bowl game returns for its 21st year in Boise on Friday, Dec. 22, and will feature two teams making their first appearances in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. Mountain Time.
The Cowboys finished second behind Boise State in the Mountain Division of the Mountain West Conference, and features future NFL draft pick Josh Allen. The junior quarterback injured his throwing shoulder on Nov. 11, but said this week that he is 90 percent better and is hoping to play in the bowl game. Without Allen at the helm, Wyoming had a disappointing end to the season, losing its final two games.

Meanwhile, Central Michigan comes into the bowl riding a five game win streak. The Chippewas finished second in the West Division of the Mid American conference behind conference champion Toledo. The Potato Bowl will be the program’s fourth consecutive bowl, and its first time playing in Boise since 2001,

Tickets are available on the bowl’s website. Fans can also buy tickets through Wyoming and Central Michigan’s websites to ensure they sit with like minded fans. Individual tickets range in price from $20 to $75.
BOWL WEEK EVENTS
The teams will arrive in Boise on Monday, Dec. 18 and will be treated to fun activities leading up to the game. Players will get to go bowling for charity at Pinz Bowling Center in Meridian. They will also get to go tubing at Bogus Basin or go kart racing, depending on weather conditions.
Participants can check out military equipment provided by Mission 43, enjoy live music by Jensen Buck, visit with Santa Claus, take photos with the Famous Idaho Potato Truck,
and take part in the FitOne Family Field day in the Caven Williams Sports Complex.
