timberland childrens shoes Father of Anne Norris Testifies at Murder Trial
The defence has called its first witness to the stand at the Anne Norris murder trial Gary Norris, Anne’s father.
It was an emotional afternoon in court. Anne Norris has sat very quietly throughout the majority of the trial, showing little emotion to this point. But that changed this afternoon when it was her father that took the stand.
The court is now on the afternoon break. An emotional hour in court as the defence starts its case with Anne Norris’ father, Gary. He described her as athletic, empathetic,
and social. He says she was an average student, and had an excellent relationship with her sister.
In 2011, Anne told her parents she was going to the police about a sexual assault that happened to her. Gary testified he believes his daughter. The case would later be put on hold when concerns were raised regarding Anne Norris’ mental health.
She told her father at the time that someone was following her. She told him, “Someone put something in my coffee.” She insisted at one point that she had AIDS, though she wasn’t tested.
Gary spoke of a later report where Anne claimed she was assaulted,
“I knew in my heart and soul that it didn’t happen.”
